MUNCIE, IN (KTRK) -- An Indiana teen is facing battery charges after police say he left a waitress a demeaning tip, ABC affiliate WRTV reports.

The waitress says she smelled a "foul odor" after the 17-year-old suspect handed her a black bill folder containing money. She said two of the bills were covered in a brown substance that she later realized was fecal matter. She called the police.

Officers reviewed surveillance video at the restaurant. Police say it shows the suspect going to the bathroom after the waitress handed him the bill. The video shows the suspect return to the table, putting the contaminated items into the bill folder and hand it back to the waitress. He's then seen laughing as the waitress walks off.

The suspect was still at the restaurant when police arrived. He now faces charges of battery with bodily waste.
