At least six injured in downtown Oakland shooting

OAKLAND, CA -- Oakland police are investigating a shooting involving at least six victims in the area of 13th and Franklin streets in downtown Oakland this afternoon.



Police originally reported that a man and woman were hospitalized in stable condition after being shot. Police said the man and woman's ages range from mid-teens to early 20s.



Among the victims that were shot was a 16-year-old teen girl who is currently in grave condition.



The shooting occurred just after 6:00 p.m. near the Tribune Tower.



A store owner ABC7 News spoke with said the shooting happened around the parking structure by the Golden Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant located at 1301 Franklin Street.



Police say a vigil for a 2014 Salinas drowning victim was taking place nearby at 14th Street and Broadway at the time of the shooting.
