Judge orders Katy teacher to stay away from student she was allegedly caught with on campus

KATY, TX

This morning, a judge issued Heather Miller a no-contact order with the 14-year-old student. School officials say a patrolling officer saw Miller and the teen together Sunday night. She was immediately arrested and charged with a second-degree felony.

A parent from Katy was in the courtroom this morning to confront Miller face-to-face.

"I don't think she needs to be around any children at all," said parent Cynthia Kaiser. "That's wrong. And the schools need to do a better background check on these teachers."

Right now, Miller is out on bond and on administrative leave from Katy Junior High, where she works as a 7th grade social studies teacher.
