Police search for suspects in execution-style murders

HOUSTON

Police say the murders apparently happened around 6:15pm Sunday at the Pine of Northwest Crossing apartment complex in the 7400 block of Hillmont near Hollister. Eyewitnesses told police they saw about three or four people racing from the area shortly after the shooting.

Investigators say they found two women and a man dead inside one of the loft-style units. Those victims were shot several times with multiple weapons in a manner police are describing as execution-style. Police say the victims' apartment was also ransacked.

One neighbor who saw the crime scene moments after it happened was too scared to show her face or give her name.

She said, "The young female who was close to the patio, she had three shotgun wounds to her back, and was totally naked."

That witness says the suspects wore ski masks, and got away in a Mazda.

"They were in all black," she said. "Two of them jumped in the front, one jumped in the back, one had a rifle and shotgun."

"Well, it looks like they were shot execution-style in between the living room and the kitchen areas. There's a great deal of disarray inside," said Sgt. Christopher Hassig with the Houston Police Department.

The victims' identities have not been released. Although there is not yet a motive, neighbors have told police they suspect prostitution may have been going on in that unit.
