The accident scene was on Airline and the 610 Loop. Police say a man walked up to the scene and tried to steal an accident victim's purse from the wreckage. When an officer tried to arrest the man, there was a scuffle.
A cab driver and wrecker driver jumped in to help the officer and that's when the Taser was deployed.
The suspect is in jail. No one was seriously hurt.
