The researcher had girls ages 4 to 7 play with either a Barbie doll or a Mrs. Potato Head. The study found that girls who played with Barbie thought they could do fewer jobs than boys, despite the slew of jobs Barbie is known for.
But those girls who played with Mrs. Potato Head thought they could do about the same.
