Video reveals different account of teen's shooting

AUSTIN, TX

The November episode began when two girls fought at Cedar Creek High School southeast of Austin. Authorities have said Noe Nino De Rivera interfered with Bastrop County deputies trying to stop the fight.

They say Rivera acted aggressively toward the deputies, resulting in the 17-year-old being shot with the stun gun. The teen fell back and struck his head on a hallway floor. He required surgery to repair a severe brain hemorrhage and spent 52 days in a medically induced coma.

The Austin American-Statesman and KVUE-TV report the video shows the fight was over for several minutes before Rivera was shot.
