Crook poses as postal worker in home invasion

HOUSTON

The home owner, who didn't want to be interviewed on camera, told Eyewitness News that one man came to his door, rang the doorbell and said a signature was required for a package delivery. The victim says the suspect appeared to be wearing a postal uniform.

As soon as the resident opened the door, three additional men rushed in. None of them were wearing uniforms, but all were wearing masks and carrying guns.

The victim was robbed in his home, and the suspects fled the scene without physically harming anyone. The victim was very shaken up, especially since a small child was asleep in another room at the time.

Federal postal agents are investigating the alleged impersonation. Houston police don't have any leads, or many details about the suspects at this time.
