Detroit Lions say they've interviewed Gary Kubiak for vacant head coaching job

HOUSTON

The Detroit Lions announce Tuesday they have interviewed Kubiak for their coaching vacancy. The Lions fired head coach Jim Schwartz last week and are now searching for a replacement.

Of course, Kubiak was fired during the Texans 2-14 disaster of a season. He was let go after the team's 11th straight loss, a Thursday night game in Jacksonville. Last week, the Texans replaced Kubiak with former Penn State Coach Bill O'Brien.
