According to investigators, a man was speeding when he lost control of his pickup and crashed into a retaining wall on the Katy Freeway near Mason Road around 2:30am.
The pickup flipped multiple times, and the man died at the scene. No one else was hurt.
Multiple lanes remained blocked until the scene was cleared mid-morning.
