HCSO: Gunman opens fire on parties in north Harris County cul-de-sac, injuring three people

HOUSTON

Deputies say the gunman injured three people. It happened around 2:30am on Hemwood near Long Glenn in north Harris County.

According to investigators, there were three separate gatherings at three different homes in a cul-de-sac.

Authorities said the suspect tried to get into one party but was turned away. He then reportedly moved on to the second gathering where he ended up getting into a shouting match with someone at the door.

As the suspect walked away, deputies said he pulled out a gun and started firing at all three party crowds. Three people were hurt, but officials said their injuries were not life-threatening. All three victims were taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where they were stable at last check.

The shooter remains at large. Anyone with information on this crime can call HCSO or Crime Stoppers.
