Detectives are looking for any information into what may have happened in the abandoned lot in north Harris County. Two passersby spotted the young woman in the isolated lot. She had no clothes on, and she had lacerations on her throat. The witnesses quickly reacted and called authorities.
An ambulance rushed to the scene and took the woman to Ben Taub Hospital. At last check, she was breathing and listed as stable.
Investigators say since the woman was nude and her throat slashed, they have not been able to identify her.
The couple who found her say they were just in the right place to help. They didn't want to give their names to Eyewitness News, but they immediately called authorities and answered their questions.
"She wasn't supposed to be still here," the man said. "She wasn't supposed to make it to that hospital."
"But she did," the woman told Eyewitness News. "The angels were watching over her, and there's a reason why God placed us here."
