Investigators say a homeowner in the 7800 block of Bradford got into an argument with a female acquaintance. She started beating him, and he shot her in the thigh.
The woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police questioned the homeowner but did not take him into custody. They have not said whether charges will be filed against him.
