Galveston getting more cash for Ike damage

The city of Galveston is getting access to millions more dollars to pay for Hurricane Ike damage.

The Texas General Land Office is releasing more than $21 million to be used for non-housing projects.

In April, the land office froze about $103 million in federal funds due to a dispute over rebuilding public housing destroyed by Ike in 2008.

Galveston's city council is meeting Thursday to look at what projects will get these funds.
