The pursuit started on Avenue H and Allen-Genoa in the City of South Houston. It ended about one mile away on Spencer and Federal in Pasadena.
An officer was trying to pull over the driver of a Cadillac who was seen running red lights. The driver took off, reaching speeds of 75 miles per hour. He later pulled over and surrendered.
Police say they found a small amount of marijuana in the car. The driver faces felony evading and his passenger faces charges of tampering with evidence.
