ALVIN, TX --
Alvin police are holding three men in connection with the murder of an elderly man in southwest Houston. It happened on Roper Street near the Gulf Freeway.
Houston police say 74-year-old Celestino Flores was found beaten to death inside his home. His back door had been broken into and his SUV was missing.
Early Tuesday morning, Alvin police located the vehicle and are detaining three men they found inside.
So far, no charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
