Officers say Billy Joe Davis, 34, took off after dumping his infant son, still in his car seat, outside a convenience store. The child's mom was inside the store and had left the two in the car after an argument with Davis.
A couple nearby saw the incident and stayed with the child until his mother came out of the store.
Davis is charged with endangering a child. If you have any information on his whereabouts, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You never have to give your name and you could receive a $5,000 cash reward.
