Crews were called to the 2-story home at Evella and Brackenridge around 8 this morning. About 40 firefighters were able to get it out before it spread, but the house suffered major damage. They also had to deal with downed power lines.
One firefighter received minor burns and was transported to the hospital. He will be released from the hospital today.
HFD says the home was a total loss.
The cause is under investigation by HFD arson investigators.
