A former medical examiner testified in the third day of Raven Abaora's murder trial that Janet died quickly from a stab wound to her neck.
So far, jurors have seen Janet's bloody clothing from that tragic night. They have also heard from a former state medical examiner, who performed Janet's autopsy.
Dr. Thomas Clark testified that Janet Abaroa did not survive long after a fatal stab wound to her neck. She also suffered a wound to her chest and her left hand. Whether that was a defensive wound is unclear.
Raven Abaroa has long maintained he was at a soccer game the night of the murder.
With the medical examiner on the stand, the prosecution hinted at an earlier window opportunity for the crime. They asked whether the victim could have been dead for hours and still bled out.
This trial is expected to last for three weeks.
However, given the mounds of testimony, it could take more time for both sides to present their case.
