All 539 students at Shearn Elementary School received new books Friday that are theirs to keep.
It was part of a partnership between ABC13, our parent company Disney and Marvel Entertainment.
By the end of May, about a thousand Houston ISD students will get their own brand new books through the Disney community service initiative.
