610 South Loop eastbound reopens after big rig wreck

February 15, 2013 8:30:59 AM PST
A big rig wreck that affected the morning rush hour commute has finally been cleared and all lanes of the 610 South Loop have reopened.

All lanes of the South Loop eastbound had been closed since early this morning due to a hazardous material spill when an 18-wheeler lost fuel and motor oil.

Traffic was being diverted off the freeway at the Telephone Road/Woodridge exit ramp and was backed up from Highway 288 to the west and Highway 225 to the east. Traffic also slowed on I-45 and 288 northbound.

Two left lanes were reopened at around 7:45am, then all lanes were cleared at around 9am.
