A 100-year-old tree that died in last year's drought is still serving as a community landmark in Richmond.

The trunk of the tree has been carved into a 15-foot angel. The sculpture was unveiled Sunday at a yoga festival.

The festival's organizer says neighbors didn't want to see the historic tree torn down, so they collected donations to turn it into a work of art.
