The Girl Scouts of the USA are celebrating their 100th birthday this year, and an estimated 5,000 people came out for an event in Houston on Saturday.

The celebration was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Girls browsed through more than a hundred booths with activities like face painting and rock climbing while adults had the opportunity to learn more about volunteer opportunities with the scouts.

Scouts also listened to guest speakers talk about careers.
