Williams Tower is going up for sale

HOUSTON

The Williams Tower, which was once known as the Transco Tower, is going up for sale. Hines Real Estate has hired a commercial real estate firm to put the Galleria-area building on the market.

The 64-story tower is nearly 30 years old and is the fourth tallest tower in the state. Hines bought the tower back in 2008 for just over $271 million.

No word yet on how much the Williams Tower is expected to sell for.
