At around 11:45pm, a police officer spotted a suspicious pickup traveling down South Shaver near the Gulf Freeway.
The officer tried to pull the driver over, but that driver refused to stop, leading police on an hour-long chase, mostly circling the Beltway.
Finally, the driver ran over some spikes on the South Beltway near Highway 3 and officers took him into custody. They still don't know why he took off.
