Police say both vehicles were going southbound on North Main near West Archer.
The truck struck the bicycle, and the rider died on impact.
The victim has not been identified.
The truck driver told police the vehicle in front of him had swerved to avoid the bike. But the truck driver was boxed in and couldn't stop in time.
Witnesses backed up the truck driver's story.
