The letters on the old Alabama Theater sign have been restored.
Last month, we showed you when they were taken down to be cleaned and repainted. Houston preservationists were initially worried the letters wouldn't be replaced.
They're now up and looking better than they have in a long time. The old theater will soon be home to specialty grocery store Trader Joe's.
