According to court documents, the victim, who was six years old at the time, says her mother's former boyfriend, Ronald Stroud, would come into her bedroom and sexually assault her while her mother was asleep. She says the alleged sexual abuse began around September 1, 2011.
Court documents state the girl's mother noticed injuries resulting from the alleged sexual assaults and when she asked her daughter about it, she said Stroud was the one 'messing with her.'
A medical report revealed that the victim tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease as a result of the alleged sexual abuse by Stroud, court records show.
Stroud, 44, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age. Bond has been set at $30,000.
