Texans free agent Joel Dreessen signs with Broncos

HOUSTON

Dreessen is the latest to leave the team this offseason. He follows Mario Williams, who signed with Buffalo, Mike Brisiel, who went to Oakland, and Jason Allen, who's now a Bengal. Those three left through free agency. Offensive lineman Eric Winston was released, along with fullback Lawrence Vickers and backup QB Matt Leinart, and DeMeco Ryans was traded to Philadelphia for a draft pick.

The Texans were able to retain free agent center Chris Myers and running back Arian Foster this offseason.

In five seasons with the Texans, Dreessen had 105 receptions for 1,323 yards and 13 TDs. He played in all 16 games the last four seasons for Houston.

The signing leaves the Texans with just two tight ends on the roster -- Owen Daniels and Garrett Graham.
