This started around 1 a.m. Thursday on Poplar Street in Sharon Hill.
Police say the suspect was wanted for an assault in Darby Township.
They say he went back to the Spring Valley Apartments and barricaded himself inside.
Some of the buildings were evacuated overnight.
The man was arrested about a half hour later.
No one was hurt.
