Suspect at large after shooting leaves man injured outside nursing home in Baytown, police say

BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect is at large after a shooting left a man injured outside a nursing home in Baytown on Tuesday, according to the Baytown Police Department.

Baytown PD said that the shooting happened at 2 p.m. in the 4100 block of Allenbrook Drive.

Police said that a woman was speaking to a man in a vehicle when the suspect approached them and fired shots, hitting the man inside the car.

Authorities said that the male victim later went inside the nursing home while police were called to the scene.

According to law enforcement, the man was transported via Life Flight, while the woman was not injured.

At this time, police have not released any information on the suspect's description.
