At least 1300 local hunger relief agencies filled their trucks with boxes of food from the distribution center in east Houston this morning.
The Food Bank says it gave away nearly 14,000 boxes of food that will feed more than 62,000 people. That's an 18 percent increase from the amount of food distributed this same time last year.
