Firefighters were called to the Timbers of Keegan's Bayou Apartments around 9:30pm Saturday.
They quickly knocked down flames coming from an attached laundry room.
The blaze did not spread into the residential units.
Firefighters did not find a natural cause for the fire, so arson is investigating.
