Man accused of injuring wheelchair-bound girlfriend in fight over money

HOUSTON

According to court documents, on October 15, Darryl Gene Boudreaux reportedly confronted his girlfriend, Lisa Webster, in front of a grocery store, where she refused to give him money. Webster, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and is confined to a wheechair, had been dating Boudreaux for about four years.

Webster told police that Boudreaux said, "I don't want anything to do with a b---- that doesn't have any money."

Boudreaux went on to accuse Webster of having an affair, court documents state. He then allegedly picked up Webster out of her wheelchair, punched her and threw her to the ground. Webster told police she's afraid of Boudreaux because he has threatened to have her killed if she reported the assault to police.

Boudreaux, 62, is charged with the felony injury to a disabled individual. No bond has been set in the case.
