VTA on schedule this morning after fatal collision

SAN JOSE

Spokeswoman Brandi Childress said the light-rail train hit a pedestrian on the right of way between the Component and Karina stations, just south of the North First Street and East Trimble Avenue intersection at 11:41 p.m.

The victim who died after the crash has only been identified as a man. The cause of the collision is under investigation, police said.
