A family was fishing around 8pm Friday when a teen fell into the Ship Channel at Crown Point and didn't come up. They frantically searched until rescue crews arrived on location.
The Coast Guard dispatched a 25-foot response boat and crew from Station Houston to the scene, as well as a MH-65C Dolphin Rescue Helicopter and crew from Air Station Houston.
The teen's body was recovered just before 11pm.
Authorities identified him as Treyveaon Davis, age 16.
