The area TxDOT is focusing on is FM 529 between Greenhouse road and Highway 290. The biggest change proposed for this eight-mile stretch is turning the middle turn lane into a raised median. TxDOT says this would reduce the number of crashes on the road.
The plan also calls for adding extra turn lanes. A meeting on this is set for October 19.
