It was around 7:30pm when a trooper pulled over the rig for a violation on Highway 59 at the edge of Victoria. The driver of the rig allowed troopers to search inside the trailer.
Deputies say when they did, they found a substantial amount of marijuana inside. They say they confiscated roughly 7,480 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of more than $3.7 million.
Investigators determined the load was going from Mission to Houston.
The driver, Alberto Ozuna, 54, of Mission Bend, was arrested and charged with felony marijuana possession.
