It happened around 11:30pm Tuesday at the complex on Collingsworth near the Eastex Freeway. Firefighters say they found heavy flames shooting from the second floor when they got there.
The woman who lived in the unit made it out safely.
Only her unit was destroyed, but the unit below her did suffer some smoke and water damage.
