Dynamo raising funds to save youth soccer in East End

HOUSTON

The programs were being canceled due to city budget constraints. The Dynamo teamed up with Houston City Council Member James Rodriguez to keep youth soccer alive in the area. More than 1,300 kids between the ages of four and 17 play in the leagues.

The Dynamo are also hosting a 5K and fun run on Saturday, July 16, to help raise money. And some of the proceeds from the third annual Dynamo Charities Cup will also support youth soccer. In that game, the Dynamo will play English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers on July 20 at Robertson Stadium.
