Firefighter smashed through a 2nd floor window to gain access and ventilate the thick, rolling smoke.
It happened on the 300 block of 8th Avenue.
The fire spread to a neighboring home, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze within an hour, without anyone getting hurt.
