According to the Houston Police Department, the victim is the boyfriend of a female who just graduated from high school. Police said her family was hosting her graduation party and she wanted her boyfriend with her the entire night, but he decided to leave early.
The victim's girlfriend got upset when he left. He eventually returned to the party, but her brothers were mad about him leaving, witnesses told officials.
His girlfriend tried to tell him to leave and that her brothers would to hurt him. That's when, according to witnesses, the victim ripped off his shirt and walked toward the apartment.
The two brothers attacked him in the parking lot, officials said. He was stabbed once in the back and twice in the chest and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious condition.
When police arrived, they took one of the brothers into custody. The other had fled the scene.
They eventually found the other brother hiding in the apartment complex and arrested him as well. Their names were not released.
