According to Houston police, the female suspect was inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the Turning Point night club when she got into an argument with some males. She became angry when she was asked to leave, police said.
Witnesses told police the woman seemed intoxicated when she left.
The suspect got enraged, backed out of the parking space and left the parking lot southbound on Allegheny Street. The suspect then turned around on Allegheny, turned off her headlights, accelerated her vehicle in an unsafe manner and headed back toward the club.
The victim, who was in the intersection with other persons leaving the club, was struck by the Taurus and knocked into another lane of traffic. A second vehicle, described only as a white sports utility vehicle not involved in the earlier incident, was traveling eastbound on Old Spanish Trail and struck the victim. Both vehicles, the black Taurus and the white SUV fled the scene. The 56-year-old victim, Dwight Richards, died at the scene.
Witnesses told investigators the victim was not involved in the argument with the woman inside the bar.
The female suspect is described only as a black female, heavy set and in her mid 30s. She was wearing a purple top, black shorts and was driving a 2000 black Ford Taurus. Police say the car has a silver stripe on the side and that it likely has front end damage on the driver's side.
Investigators also want to talk to the driver of the second vehicle -- a white SUV, possibly a Mitsubishi.
