The boil water notice for the city of West University Place has now been lifted. City officials say people no longer need to boil their drinking water as of 10:10am Thursday.

Repairs will continue today on the broken water line near Bissonnet and Wakeforest, where the line ruptured Wednesday morning and led to the boil water notice.

City officials say due to the ongoing repairs it is possible that the westbound Bissonnet traffic will continue to be affected until complete.
