Authorities are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
Driver critically injured after slamming into big rig
HOUSTON
The SUV driver was critically hurt in the crash which occurred in the southbound lanes of the North Freeway at FM 1960 about 10pm. The big rig driver was not hurt. He had stalled and was legally parked on the shoulder of the road when the SUV slammed into the back of his truck.
