Sex offender faces solicitation of minor charge
HOUSTON
Jean Pierre Mireau, 35, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of online solicitation of a minor, according to a Harris County probable cause document.
Authorities allege that Mireau had agreed to meet and engage in sexual contact with a girl he believed to be younger than 17. The two allegedly were communicating through text messaging.
His bond has been set at $20,000.
Mireau was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in June 2001.
