Woman struck and killed trying to cross road

HOUSTON It happened on Highway 6 and Empanada. The woman was struck and killed by a vehicle.

"According to witnesses that saw the female, she was in the center turn lane that divided the north and southbound lanes. The female was crossing to the west and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound," said Deputy G. Chelette of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
