Where to recycle that old Christmas tree

HOUSTON Every year, many Houstonians discard thousands of used Christmas trees that could be recycled into useable products, so the city is encouraging residents to recycle.

Residents with the city of Houston automated garbage collection service can place their trees at the curb to be picked up. They ask that you make sure all ornaments are off. You can also take your Christmas tree to one of 18 drop-off locations. Click here for those locations.

This program will continue through January 9, with the exception of New Year's Day.
