Authorities seek sex offender who violated parole

HOUSTON Arthur W. Brown is a sex offender with a violent history including several rape convictions and an aggravated sexual assault of a child offense. He is currently wanted for violating his parole and is known to be in the Houston area.

Authorities told us Brown had a tracking monitor and cut it off. Authorities say he is considered armed and dangerous.

He is described as a black male, 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighing around 185 pounds.

Brown, 54, registered as a sex offender with Houston police on December 14 and a warrant was issued for his arrest the next day.
