Houston police has canceled an Amber Alert for missing 8-year-old Charte Harris who was last seen yesterday around 10am with his mother's boyfriend, Charles Shoemaker. Charte was found safely early Saturday morning, and Shoemaker is in custody, police said. Shoemaker took Charte to Kate Bell Elementary School in Houston to register him in school but lacked all of the paperwork to do so. Neither the child or suspect had been seen since. The suspect is the biological mother's boyfriend. No other details were immediately available.
